Business Development Manager, Poland – Recyclable Plastics
Job Description:
Business Development Manager – Recyclable Plastics
Territory: Poland
Remote / Field-Based
Astrantia Talent is recruiting on behalf of an established international business operating within plastics recycling and the circular economy.
We are looking for an entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to build and develop the company's recyclable plastics supply network across Poland.
This is a highly commercial role sitting at the intersection of business development, purchasing and commodity trading.
Your objective is to understand where valuable recyclable plastic materials are being generated, build relationships with those businesses and create commercially sustainable partnerships that return those materials to the supply chain.
Your responsibilities
- Develop the company's supplier network throughout Poland
- Map the Polish market and identify new sources of recyclable plastics
- Target businesses across recycling, waste management, manufacturing and plastics processing
- Generate new opportunities through research, outbound business development and industry networking
- Purchase suitable scrap and recyclable plastic materials
- Visit suppliers and inspect available materials
- Assess material quality, volume, consistency and commercial viability
- Negotiate pricing, volumes and commercial agreements
- Develop long-term relationships with suppliers and commercial partners
- Work closely with international trading, sales, logistics and operational colleagues
- Follow commodity pricing and developments within the European recycled plastics market
- Maintain accurate CRM records and a strong opportunity pipeline
- Travel regularly across Poland
Your background
Experience within plastics, recycling, waste management, polymers, raw materials or commodity trading would be particularly relevant.
However, we're equally interested in strong commercial professionals who understand how to develop a territory, open new accounts and negotiate within a fast-changing B2B market.
You'll need to be proactive, commercially curious and comfortable creating opportunities rather than waiting for them.
Fluent Polish and strong English communication skills are required due to the international nature of the organisation.
